Office Manager
The Office Manager will be the primary contact for parents and the public. This is a full-time position during July and August with part-time hours available during May and June.
Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Answer NBCC telephone
- Reply to NBCC emails and voice mails
- Manage NBCC Registration Files
- Greet parents, manage check-in and check-out lists
- Assist with organizing and running NBCC regattas
- Arrange accommodation for coaches for out-of-town regattas
- Assist with payroll and expense reports
- Coordinate completion of TD1, Canada Summer Jobs, Direct Deposit and other employment-related forms with all NBCC Staff
- Ensure all NBCC Staff certifications have been completed and are on file
- Update and distribute Feedback Surveys
- Organize annual awards banquet, arrange to have trophies updated
- Ensure First Aid supplies are stocked and AED is registered/operational
Requirements:
- Highly organized
- Basic computer skills
- Effective communication and problem solving skills
- CPR, Standard First Aid certification
- Acceptable criminal background check
- Pleasure craft operator card would be an asset
- CKC Community Coach Certification would be an asset
- Sport Management training would be an asset
- Familiarity with the sport of canoe/kayak would be an asset
- Previous clerical experience would be an asset
