Our Special Olympics Canoe Kayak Program offers individuals with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to explore, train and possibly compete in the sport of canoeing and kayaking.

The program includes a safety orientation, technical instruction, and coaching by experienced , certified coaches. Paddlers are given 1:1 support by canoe club coaches and/or experienced paddling partners. Although all abilities are welcome, participants must be comfortable on the water.

Recreational canoes and kayaks are used to introduce paddlers to the sport and as they progress, sprint canoes and kayaks can be used by those wishing to compete.

Participation can be purely recreational or competitive, offering the possibility of high level competition at the provincial and national level.

Note that the number of participants is limited, so don't hesitate to register!
